Domain Management Tutorials

Register, transfer, renew and manage your domains from the ServerBD client area — including WHOIS contact updates, EPP codes and nameserver changes.

01 Registering a new domain

Step 2Search for the name you want — choose a TLD (.com, .net, .org, .com.bd, etc.).
Step 3Add to cart, register / log in to the client area.
Step 4Fill in WHOIS details — name, email, phone, address. ICANN requires real info.
Step 5Pay via bKash / Nagad / card. Domain is registered within 1-5 minutes.
Tip Tick WHOIS Privacy at checkout (free for most TLDs) to hide your personal details from public lookups.

02 Renewing a domain

Step 1Log in to my.serverbd.net.
Step 2Go to DomainsMy Domains.
Step 3Click Renew next to the expiring domain.
Step 4Choose 1-10 years and complete checkout.
Warning If you let a domain expire, it enters a 30-day grace period, then a 30-day redemption period (with a heavy fee), then it's released back to the public.

03 Changing nameservers

Step 1Client area → My Domains → click the domain.
Step 2Open the Nameservers tab on the left.
Step 3Tick Use custom nameservers and enter the set that matches your hosting type:

For DirectAdmin Hosting:

ns111d.hostwhitelabel.com ns211d.hostwhitelabel.com ns311d.hostwhitelabel.com

For cPanel & all other hosting:

ns1.mysecurecloudhost.com ns2.mysecurecloudhost.com ns3.mysecurecloudhost.com ns4.mysecurecloudhost.com
Step 4Click Change Nameservers. Allow 4-24 hours to propagate worldwide.
Tip Not sure which set to use? Check your welcome email — your hosting type and the correct nameservers are listed there. Or open a ticket and we'll confirm.

04 Updating WHOIS contact info

Step 1Client area → My Domains → click the domain.
Step 2Open Contact Information.
Step 3Update Registrant / Admin / Tech / Billing contacts. You can copy from your client profile.
Step 4Click Save Changes. ICANN will email both the old & new registrant address to confirm.
Note For .com / .net, changes to the registrant email lock the domain from outbound transfer for 60 days (ICANN rule). To skip the lock, opt out at the time of change.

05 Locking / unlocking a domain

Step 1Client area → My Domains → click the domain.
Step 2Open Registrar Lock.
Step 3Enable lock to prevent unauthorized transfers. Disable lock if you're moving the domain to another registrar.
Tip Always keep registrar lock ON unless you're actively transferring out.

06 Getting an EPP / Auth code

The EPP code (sometimes called Auth code, Auth-info or Transfer Secret) is required to move a domain to a different registrar.

Step 1Client area → My Domains → click the domain.
Step 2Open Get EPP Code from the left menu.
Step 3The 8-16 character code will be displayed (or emailed). Copy it exactly.
Warning Treat the EPP code like a password. Anyone with it (and registrar lock disabled) can transfer your domain away.

07 Transferring a domain IN to ServerBD

Before starting, at the old registrar: unlock the domain, get the EPP code, and disable WHOIS privacy.

Step 1Visit domain-registrationTransfer Domain tab.
Step 2Enter the domain and the EPP code.
Step 3Pay the 1-year transfer fee (which extends the domain by 1 year).
Step 4Approve the transfer email sent to the registrant address.
Step 5Wait 5-7 days for the registry to complete the transfer.

08 Transferring a domain OUT

Step 1In ServerBD client area, disable Registrar Lock (Tutorial #5).
Step 2Get the EPP Code (Tutorial #6).
Step 3Initiate the transfer at your new registrar — give them the EPP code.
Step 4Approve the transfer when prompted via email.
Tip Sad to see you go! If you ran into issues, contact our team first — most "transfer" requests are actually just a billing or DNS question we can fix.
